No idea why the Jets are getting this kind of respect against the Stars. Really, the only notable win the Jets have is beating the Avalanche in overtime, and I wanna say that’s by sheer luck. The only reason the Jets are 7-3 is because they’ve faced the Coyotes, Canadiens, and Blackhawks during this span. Dallas on the other side has done well on both sides of the ice. They rank sixth in goals per game, 18th in shots per game, first in goals against per game, and ninth in shots against per game. Tonight they’ll yet again be without Jake Oettinger, but that’s no problem, as Scott Wedgewood has been pretty good in net. Sure, he’s no Oettinger, but he does have a.908 SV% this season. He has only allowed six goals over his last three games, bringing him up to a.934 SV%. The Jets, on the other hand, are not looking good on offense. They rank 20th in goals per game, 19th in shots per game, and have only scored three goals or less in six of the last 10 games. With how well the Stars have played the Jets in the past (7-1-2 in their last 10 games), I have no problems taking Dallas tonight.
