Philadelphia Flyers +2.5 (-154)
This morning when I saw +1.5 at +115, I was like, this is too good for a struggling Leafs team, but when I saw +2.5 at -154, I couldn’t pass this up and had to smash two units. Let’s be real here – the Leafs have been terrible, and to have the Leafs as a -310 favorite is ridiculous. Not only have the Leafs lost their last four games in a row, but they’ve lost to the Sharks and Ducks. They are the worst teams in the NHL. And you may say, “Well, they’re at home tonight.” Let’s not forget that this team has lost at home against the Coyotes. And the most challenging team they’ve faced at home is the Stars, where they needed to go to overtime to win.
Another thing is that most of the games they’ve won have been won by one goal, so tonight, we get +2.5? I’m sold. The Flyers did play yesterday and lost in overtime against the Rangers, but I wouldn’t worry too much about fatigue when prior to that, they played three games at home and, after tonight, will be resting for three days. Flyers have kept games close against complex teams like the Hurricanes and Rangers, losing by one goal, so tonight shouldn’t be any different. I wouldn’t say the Leafs are a difficult team at this time of the season, but I can say that the Flyers can hang with the Leafs.
