NOW LET’S GET TO THE BETS (reading time: 3 minutes)
Syracuse +14 (-115)
I honestly believe Syracuse can actually upset Clemson in this game, but hey, we’ll take the points. Which, by the way giving +14 points to Syracuse is absurd. There’s no reason to think that this game will turn into a shootout, so for Clemson to cover, the Tigers need to basically shut down the entire Orange offense, which I don’t see happening, as Syracuse is averaging 36 points and 432 yards per game itself. Also, why is no one talking about the Orange and their defense? The Orange has one of the country’s best defenses, ranked 12th against both the run and pass while sitting sixth nationally in scoring defense. Even against solid defensive units like NC State and Purdue, the Orange have been able to move the ball. Put some respect on Syracuse.

UCLA +6.5 (-10)
I absolutely love this game and feel like the books kind of messed this one up by giving us 6.5 points. This Bruins offense has been insanely good this season, putting up 41.5 points per game in large parts to Dorian Thompson and Zach Charbonnet. Dorian has accrued at least 230 passing yards in four straight games and has an insane 15:2 TD-to-INT ratio. Charbonnet is the best RB in the Pac-12. This man has logged at least 100 yards in all but one game, including a ridiculous 198 yards against Utah, and now has 615 rushing yards on 7.1 yards per rush. And guess what? Oregon is ranked 58th in Power Rank defense. I don’t know what the Ducks will do as UCLA also has a strong defense, as they’re only allowing 22.7pts per game.

Penn State -4.5 (-110)
I don’t think Minnesota is up to the test to face Penn State. Minnesota is 4-2, and you might tell yourself, “That’s pretty decent.” WRONG. It’s not. The “hardest” team they faced was Michigan, and FYI they’re 3-4 sitting at the bottom with Rutgers. That was Minnesota’s greatest victor. They had two chances to redeem themselves and lost both games against Purdue and Illinois. Despite the two losses and problems, Minnesota still leads the nation in third-down conversions and third-down stops. However, I can’t see them trying to win against a Penn State team that actually beat teams like Purdue and Auburn.
